Target Atmospheric CO2: Where Should Humanity Aim? - Jun 17, 2008 - 8:26:19 AM
Jim Hansen et al recently (April 2008) produced a paper, which has been submitted to Nature, which says that if humanity wishes to preserve a planet similar to that on which civilization developed and to which life on Earth is adapted, paleoclimate evidence and ongoing climate change suggests that CO2 levels will need to be reduced from its current 385 ppm to at most 350 ppm.

Rising Sea Levels - The World Bank Report 2007 - Feb 25, 2008 - 5:08:00 PM
In February 2007 The World Bank published a Working Paper called - "The Impact of Sea Level Rise on Developing Countries: A Comparative Analysis", this is an important study of the impact of climate change.  The Paper sees sea level rise due to climate change as a serious global threat.

Lord Stern, author of the review on the economics of climate change ("The Stern Report") wrote in The Times (London) on the 22 February 2008 pointing out the need for a clear policy framework to deal with the threat posed by climate change.
